Our Leadership

Ashley Latham

Ashley Latham is the current President of Ridgewood Newcomers. She is from Toronto, Canada, and moved to Ridgewood with her husband, Matthew, and two little ones in December 2022. When relocating from Canada, they landed on Ridgewood as Matthew grew up in the area and they wanted to build a home somewhere with a straightforward commute to NYC, a thriving community, great public schools, and access to nice restaurants. Ashley has been a member of the Newcomers Board since 2023 and is grateful for the new friends and sense of community she’s gained through her involvement.

Melissa Dabbara

Melissa Dabbara is the current Vice President of Ridgewood Newcomers. She is from Wappingers Falls, New York, and moved to Ridgewood with her husband, Sid, and son, Knox, in August 2023. After many years of city life, they decided on Ridgewood to plant their roots as a family. Melissa fell in love with Ridgewood’s downtown charm, close proximity to family and well known public schools. They have since welcomed a daughter, Vienna, in October 2025. Melissa has been a member of the Newcomers Board since 2024.

Megan Hilts

Megan Hilts is the former president of Newcomers. She moved from Jersey City to Ridgewood with her husband and two boys in January 2022. She is originally from Upstate NY and decided to look for a home here after driving by it for many years on her way Upstate. Megan is so thankful she found Newcomers shortly after moving to town. She has found good friends, fun and a sense of community since joining.
